Our professionals are encouraged to pursue certifications that will benefit GEI and the client. Among the certifications that members of our staff have achieved are for Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and LEED AP. If our professionals have a desire to be trained in any other form, GEI supports it. GEI Principals
Michael Chad Griffith, PE, CEM, CCP, LEED® AP
PresidentMr. Griffith serves as company’s principal energy auditor, analyst, and design engineer and manages GEI’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing design teams in the Atlanta, Charlotte Kansas City offices.
He is currently a registered professional engineer in sixteen (16) states as well as a Certified Energy Manager, a Certified Co-Generation Professional and an Accredited Professional for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED AP).
He is also a member of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE), the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), the International Code Council (ICC), the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), theCentral Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Georgia Association of Physical Plant Administrators (GAPPA).

Clifford A. Daniel
Principal Electrical Engineer
Born and raised in Canton, GA, Mr. Daniel is a 2002 graduate of Southern Polytechnic State University with a BS in Computer Engineering Technology. He and his family reside in Ball Ground, GA.He leads GEI’s electrical design team in the Atlanta office, and has served as the lead electrical engineer on a multitude of projects, some of which have obtained LEED-Certification.
Clifford also is a member of IEEE.

Brett A. Ravenscroft, PE, CEM
Principal Mechanical Engineer Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Mr. Ravenscroft is a graduate of the University of Missouri at Kansas City with a BS in mechanical engineering. Brett and his family reside in Overland Park Kansas.
Brett is a registered professional engineer in three states and holds a national certificate with in NCEES. He leads GEI’s mechanical design team for the Kansas City office and has served as lead mechanical engineer on multiple projects.
Brett is a member of ASHRAE.

He is a registered professional engineer in five states, a LEED accredited professional and holds a national certificate with NCEES. He leads GEI’s mechanical and plumbing design team in the Charlotte office, and has served as the lead mechanical engineer on a multitude of projects, some of which have obtained LEED-Certification.
Wally also is a member of ASHRAE and the US Green Building Council.

Awards and Recognitions
At the 2005 Federal Energy Conference in Long Beach, California, a presentation was given on successful Utility Energy Savings Contracts (UESC) by Graham Parker with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). In this presentation Fort McPherson, a GEI project, was highlighted and Griffith Engineering, Inc. was specifically named as a key contributor to its success.
